Horror in Japan

March 30, 2011 at 1:05 pm (Earthquakes, Environment)

On March 11,2011 Japan was hit with an 8.9 earthquake. It destroyed more than anyone ever expected it to.  The force of earthquake was so strong that it destroyed the ground, buildings, boats, cars lighted fires, shut down trains and plunged Japan into a full-scale nuclear emergency because of damage done to reactors. The grinding and shifting of the continental plates tore a gash 186 miles along the ocean floor and that’s what caused the tsunami after the earthquake. The land became water, and everything was either floating or underwater. No matter what the Japanese government thought they could take on, this was something they were not prepared for.
